About

Richard is a full stack product engineer (software, hardware, mechanical, production) and is presently the Chief Engineer at PROXXI, an industrial wearables startup based out of Vancouver, Canada.

Outside of the office he is involved with one of North America’s oldest makerspaces, the Vancouver Hack Space, helping maintain their machining tools and run educational classes on their safe use. Formerly he was a member of the BC Society of Model Engineers, the Maker Coordinator for the Vancouver Mini Maker Faire, ran the freelance engineering consultancy Mesophase Development, and in the distant past was a Lead Graphics Software Engineer for some of the largest video game development companies in the world.

For recreation Richard is an avid archer and snowboarder, dedicated puppy father, and tries to keep on top of a regular running and gym schedule to balance out his love of brunch and desserts.

Somewhere in there he also builds projects and blogs.

You can find him at on Twitter and Hackaday.io, or get in touch via the Contact page here.
